Platform & 3-Point Plan

My platform is centered on strengthening and enriching our community. Upholding this platform, are 3 pillars; each with an actionable plan that will yield results in my first term, when elected. Let's get this done.

Focus on Public Safety and Emergency Services

Why it's Important

Our community has experienced exponential growth, and we're expected to  amass a population of 225k+ by 2028. With more folks, homes, and businesses, the need for increased safety and emergency services is a stark reality. Let's be sure that we can foundationally support this growth and protect our residents.

How We'll Get it Done

I will be certain that our residents--our greatest resources--are safe and protected when it matters the most. That's why I support the increase in the number of firefighters and emergency personnel, and the building of new firehouses.

Develop Pathways for Education and Career

Why it's Important
A "traditional" post-secondary education isn't in the cards for everyone. But, the ability to maintain a healthy and productive life and career path should be. When folks can gain and sustain financial means, this reduces crime, homelessness, and breakdowns in mental and physical health. We can begin to see cycles broken and futures built.

How We'll Get it Done
Through partnerships with  Elk Grove and Galt school districts, and local unions, trades, and apprenticeship programs, we'll offer students and adults vocational opportunities and exposure to careers in the fire department and within CSD. To widen and diversify the candidate pool, I'll leverage access to lifeguards and local swim team members who have certifications that make them competitive candidates for careers in emergency services.

Establish a Bustling Arts and Culture Community

Why it's Important

It's true that the arts promote unity, empathy, compassion, and  connectedness. Countless studies show that children exposed to integrated arts education experience better outcomes, increased test scores, and higher self confidence. Cities similar to Elk Grove attribute a rich art community to reduction in  crime and increase in quality of life.

How We'll Get it Done

As a current Board Director for the Sacramento Theatre Company, I have the knowledge, experience, and relationships to implement art education in schools that lack the resources, and to enhance our recreation programming. I will take active initiative to leverage partnerships and identify a location (existing or new) for a theater/performing arts center.
